Our builder services include professional material take-offs to simplify estimating. Builders provide a set of blueprints, and we deliver an estimated list of required framing lumber, exterior millwork, and interior millwork. We can also supply window sizes and rough opening dimensions, helping you quote projects more accurately and efficiently.
*Take-offs on framing lumber and plywood may be subject to an additional fee.
Contractor Support Services: Interior Walk-Throughs
As part of our comprehensive builder services, Tague Lumber offers interior trim and door walk-throughs. A salesperson meets with the builder and trim contractor on-site to:
- Label all door openings
- Measure windows for sills
- Calculate casing, baseboard, and custom millwork needs
We provide multiple bid options, allowing builders to offer homeowners upgraded trim and door packages. During the walk-through, we can also recommend trim styles, interior doors, and hardware finishes. When doors are installed, we can supply customized hinges and matching locksets for a cohesive look.
Builder Services: Product Consultation
Our builder services include expert product consultation for both builders and homeowners. We help you choose the right windows, doors, and millwork for your project while identifying cost-saving alternatives to what may be specified in the plans.
This service reduces the need to quote multiple product combinations and ensures selections align with both design goals and budget. This also applies to millwork and interior doors.
Builder Services: Structural Layouts & Engineered Drawings
Tague Lumber provides structural support through engineered shop drawings. As part of our builder services, we send contractor blueprints for detailed layouts that include:
- Color-coded floor plans
- Material lists with sizes and lengths
- Product placement details
