In 1968, Tague’s Philadelphia location was moved from 10th & Columbia Avenue to a large facility at the corner of Belfield & High Street in Germantown. Tragically, on Christmas Night, 1975, a fire destroyed the entire yard. Determined to overcome the setback the Tague family rebuilt the lumber yard into a more modern facility including large warehouses that keep material in perfect condition and an innovative racking system that provides fast, “in and out” pick-up service and drive-thru loading.

In my line of work time is money. Paying my crew to roll a cart around a store and then load their trucks costs me time and money. At Tague we pull in and they load the materials right on our trucks or we can get next day delivery. That’s convenient and cost effective.
